Malakoff ISD considers acceptance of transfer students on a case-by-case basis. Principals review attendance and behavior, campus space, and staffing. Principals will also review classroom capacity at each grade level for availability. Transportation cannot be guaranteed for any of our transfer students. All approved outside-the-district transfers must attend the school closest to their home.
Returning Students Currently On A District Transfer
All returning transfer students must reapply each year for a transfer. Transfers are only approved for one year and are evaluated each year for renewal. Transfer renewal forms will be mailed out in May to students currently on a transfer and must be returned to the district before the last day of school for consideration for the following school year.
Contact your campus office for the most up-to-date information about which grades and campuses are open to transfers and for more information on how to apply for transfer.
