Why Choose Malakoff ISD?

Malakoff Independent School District is a 3A district on the southern end of Cedar Creek Lake. Currently, there are approximately 1,400 students enrolled.  The District serves the areas of Malakoff, Tool, Star Harbor, Caney City, Payne Springs, and Mankin.

Malakoff ISD is composed of five campuses: a high school, middle school, two elementary schools, and an alternative campus. All of the schools are located in Malakoff except for one elementary in Tool. All of the campuses were rated a “B” by the Texas Education Agency during the  2018-19 school year and the district earned an “A” rating for the second year in a row.
