Substitute Applications for Teachers and Nurses have been closed for the 23-24 school year. Applications for the 24-25 school year will open in July.  Please be on the lookout for New Substitute Orientation days in August!!

SUBSTITUTE QUALIFICATIONS

All individuals interested in becoming a substitute teacher for Malakoff ISD, must meet the following qualifications:

• 20 years of age or older

• High school diploma/GED

• Pass Criminal Background Check

SUBSTITUTE PROCESS

1. Complete an online application for a substitute

2. Complete fingerprinting

3. Attend substitute orientation

Substitute Pay Schedule

Paraprofessional: $70

Non-Certified Teacher: $80

Texas Certified Teacher: $90

Cafeteria: $7.25/hr

Nurse: Depends on license

* On Early Release days, subs are paid for ½ day*
