Transportation First Week Procedures

Bus Rider Parents,

If your student is planning to ride the bus this year, please note the following first-week procedures to help students get off to a great start!

Make sure you have marked your student as in need of transportation services in your Skyward registration*. Your student's bus number should be available to you in Skyward by Tuesday morning (August 11th) if you have registered in Skyward Family Access. If you don't see a bus number and have a question or aren't sure if you signed up for transportation, please let us know at communications@malakoffisd.org.

*Transportation is not available to transfer students.

If you have a student at the elementary or intermediate school, be sure to let their homeroom teacher know your plans regarding how your student will get home the first week of school.

During the first week of school, please have your morning rider ready by 6 am if you live in the Tool area or by 6:15 if you live in the Malakoff area until drivers have a more accurate idea of pickup times.

If your student is in 2nd grade or below, please be aware that an adult must be present at drop-off in the afternoon.

Students will be dropped off in the same location at which they are picked up.

All students on bus 73 who live on Spring Valley Road will be picked up and dropped off at the junction of JD Thomas Road and CR 2404.

Please be patient with us during the first week in case any adjustments are needed to bus rosters and pickup and drop-off times.

Make sure you have your most up-to-date phone and address information in Skyward, and if you make any changes, let your campus office know.
