Malakoff Independent School District is a 3A district on the southern end of Cedar Creek Lake. Currently, there are approximately 1,400 students enrolled. The District serves the areas of Malakoff, Tool, Star Harbor, Caney City, Payne Springs, and Mankin. Malakoff ISD has six campuses: Malakoff High School, Malakoff Junior High, Malakoff Intermediate, Malakoff Elementary, Tool Elementary, and an alternative campus (MAP). All of the schools are located in  Malakoff city limits except Tool Elementary. Malakoff ISD wants you to join us in our journey toward excellence.   • Paraprofessional: $70

    Non-Certified Teacher: $80

    Texas Certified Teacher: $90

    Cafeteria: $7.25/hr

    Maintenance/Custodial: $10.00/hr

    Bus Monitors: $11:00/hr

    Nurse: $80.00

    * On Early Release days, subs are paid for a full day

Malakoff ISD is focused on engaging volunteers, businesses, and the community with our schools. Volunteers are a much-appreciated and highly respected group of people who make up a very important part of our educational team.  Malakoff ISD and its professional educators have witnessed the rewards of volunteer partnerships between our community and our schools.  Whether you serve as a parent, grandparent, community member, or business partner, your participation in all volunteer endeavors is essential in developing our greatest asset – our youth! Your life experiences and resources will enable our staff to accomplish much more than ever before. Whether you have thirty minutes or a couple of hours a week, we have a place for you.
